Since moving to Cork over 2 years ago I’ve become more and more interested in the culture. I know Ireland has it’s overall culture but I really like to get to know the local feel and Cork certainly has a unique feel.
I know that Cork have stouts like Murphy’s and Beamish which I’ve gotten to know (very well) over the years but I wanted to try some of the local food.
The first thing I’ve heard when talking about Cork dishes is the Crubeens or pig’s feet. I love ham and bacon and and the different pig products but I never even knew they cooked up the feet. It sounds very unappealing but I was ready to give it a shot.
I knew just the area to go and pick some up. The famous English Market had plenty of butchers and stalls to choose. It was just about picking one…
